Making an Appointment
The Bone and Joint Centre welcomes both NHS and private referrals. We work closely with consultants and GPs to ensure that all patients receive a highly focused course of treatment and care tailored to their individual needs. Private patients with medical insurance from BUPA, AXA and other medical insurance providers are accepted. Patients wishing to pay for their own medical treatment are accepted. Referrals from local NHS Trusts are also accepted.
For patients without private medical insurance or those with exclusions on their policies a Complete Care Package is offered. This provides a guaranteed fixed price confirmed in advance of treatment, ensuring that patients have complete peace of mind with no hidden extras.
We also offer a standard self-funding alternative that is flexible and affordable to suit individual needs. This covers up to 100% of the cost of surgery. All applications are considered and most loan decisions are agreed with an hour.
Unlike standard NHS referral procedures appointments at the Bone and Joint Centre are usually confirmed within 2-3 days.
Patients can be referred to one of the consultants by their General Practitioner. For patients with medical insurance you should contact your insurer to check that any tests or treatment will be covered and secure authorisation.
If you are paying for your own treatment then you can call for a Complete Care price. This provides a guaranteed fixed price confirmed in advance of treatment, ensuring that patients have complete peace of mind with no hidden extras.
